Geisha coffee is a special type of coffee. It’s grown in Boquete in Northern Panama. It is the most expensive in the world. View All

This coffee bean set a new record in 2019. It was sold at auction for $1,029 per pound.

Geisha coffee is also grown in other countries in Central and South America. But the coffee from Boquete is the highest quality.

The coffee beans from Boquete got a score of 98 out of 100 from Coffee Review. This specialist coffee magazine makes it the world’s best coffee.

Boquete’s special climate helps the coffee grow. The hills and the two oceans help to produce the coffee’s special taste.

Justin Boudeman grows coffee beans in the Boquete area. Justin Boudeman: “We’re never going to compete on a commodity level. We’re a…we’re blessed by this terroir. We’re a specialty and a luxury item and that’s our niche, that’s our niche in the market.”

Coffee is now becoming a luxury business. People think the price of Panama’s Geisha coffee will go even higher in 2020. View Less
