Geisha coffee is a special type of coffee. It grows in Boquete in Northern Panama. It is very expensive. View All

In 2019, this coffee set a new record. It sold for $1,029 per pound.

Geisha coffee grows in other countries too. It grows in Central and South America. But only coffee from Boquete has this special quality.

The Boquete coffee got 98 out of 100 from Coffee Review. This is a special coffee magazine. It says Boquete’s coffee is the best coffee in the world.

Boquete is a special place for growing coffee. The hills and the two oceans make the weather special. The weather gives the coffee a special flavour.

Justin Boudeman grows coffee. He works in the Boquete area. Justin Boudeman: “We’re never going to compete on a commodity level. We’re a…we’re blessed by this terroir. We’re a specialty and a luxury item and that’s our niche, that’s our niche in the market.”

The coffee business is changing. It is now a luxury market. People think the price of Panama’s Geisha coffee will go up again in 2020. View Less
