Bolivian teacher helps students - 26th June 2020 View All
Wilfredo Negrete cycles to his students on his bike. He rides through the Bolivian countryside to teach them.
Schools are closed because of the Coronavirus. The children can't study at home. They don’t have computers and their parents aren’t educated.
So Negrete decided to cycle to his students three times a week.
Because he has 2 children, he also teaches classes in his home. He puts the tables far apart. Alcohol soap is available and students wash their hands before class.
Parents are extremely pleased that their children can continue their education. Many families walk kilometres to reach Negrete’s house. View Less
