But during the coronavirus pandemic, they had to stay at home.
They still wanted to help people.
So they baked cakes for local elderly people.
They made video calls to schools.
And they visited health workers.
They also started working with charities which help Britain's National Health Service.
William's grandfather Prince Philip, the Queen's husband, passed away in April this year.
William said Prince Philip served his country well.
William hopes to be like his grandfather.
