In India, 11 cleaners have become millionaires. The women put their money together to buy a lottery ticket. They won $1.2million.
Each woman earns only $3 per day to collect rubbish. They can't pay for medical bills or send their children to school. So, they borrow money from the bank.
The 11 women were lucky. When they heard the news, they couldn't believe it. Radha said she asked several people if it was true.
Each of the women will spend their money in different ways. Radha lost a lot of money to scams. She'll pay off her debt. Leela's daughter fell off a train a month earlier and needs surgery. Now, she can pay for it.
The others will use the money to pay for their children's education and pay off their debts. Some will fix up their homes. Bindu's happy and sad at the same time. Her husband died a year ago because he couldn't pay for surgery. He played the lottery often but never won.
Each woman will receive about $80,000 after taxes. But after paying off their debts and their bills, they won't have much money left. The women will continue to work together.
