Sir Mo Farah's a UK Olympic runner but Mo Farah isn't his real name. A woman took Farah to the UK on fake papers. She trafficked him. She changed his name.
He had to cook and clean for the woman. He had to look after her children. Farah was only nine years old. He was a child slave.
In the past, Farah didn't tell people this. He told a different story. He said he was from Somalia. He said he came to the UK with his parents.
The woman kept Farah indoors. He couldn't go to school. He couldn't call his family.
Farah wanted to leave. He always asked to go to school but he only started school at 12 years old.
At school, Farah's teachers were worried. He didn't look healthy. He didn't speak English. But he was very good at sports. Running gave Farah a future.
Sir Mo Farah told this story on TV. He wants people to know about trafficking.
