It's Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year as queen! She became queen after King George VI died. It was on 6th February 1952. She was 25 years old and now she's 95.
Usually, Queen Elizabeth II spends the day at home. She stays at her house in Sandringham. This is where her father died.
But this year is special. The Queen wrote a letter to the public. When Charles is king, the Queen would like his wife, Camilla, to become Queen Consort. She also wants people to be kind to them.
The 70th year is the platinum anniversary. The Queen's platinum year won't be quiet. There'll be four days of holiday in June. And there'll be many activities.
The platinum celebrations will be the Queen's first celebration without her husband, Prince Phillip. He died in 2021.
