Goldfish come to the museum - 4th September 2020

A new museum has opened in Tokyo, Japan. The museum is an Art Aquarium.

The Art Aquarium began as a temporary project in 2007. Since then, there has been an art aquarium display every summer. It's now become a museum.

The Art Aquarium includes 30,000 goldfish in different display tanks. They are displayed with different lights and moving shapes. Some of the goldfish are very unusual.

The museum will change the displays every season.

The Art Aquarium is managed by artist Hidetomo Kimura. He sees fish as living art and thinks they should be more important. He wants to show people their beauty.
