Gold hotel - 8th July 2020

A golden hotel has opened in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The owner says it is the first gold-plated hotel in the world.

Everything in the hotel is plated with 24 carat gold. The hallways and lift doors, the coffee cups and spoons are all gold.

The bathrooms also have gold-plated toilets, bidets, baths, showers and taps.

Guests at the luxury hotel can try the rooftop swimming pool. It is of course gold plated.

A night in the hotel costs from 250 dollars. Hotel Owner Nguyen Huu Duong wants everyone to stay at the hotel. He says it is for ordinary people as well as the super rich.

Phillip Park from South Korea is one of the hotel's first guests.

Park: "When I come to here, I feel like I am a king, you know, the Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.”
