Chadwick Boseman dies - 9th September 2020

Chadwick Boseman has died from cancer. He was the star of the superhero movie "Black Panther."

His death was a surprise to his millions of fans. He never said he had cancer. He had continued to act during his treatment.

Boseman had many famous roles. He played American baseball star Jackie Robinson in the film "42". He became musician James Brown in "Get On Up". But he is most famous for playing King T-Challa in "Black Panther": the first superhero movie where all the actors were black.

Boseman believed that "Black Panther" showed that change was finally happening in the film business.

Boseman: "You can see, in the industry, that people are starting to want to put their dollars, put their money where their mouth is, behind films where we are the leads, or we are the directors and producers and what not. So I think that is a change. But it's not just 'Black Panther'. 'Black Panther' was just the culminating moment."
