Farmers start school - 29th January 2021
This is a new school in New Delhi, India. The school is for poor children. Farmers from outside New Delhi started the school.
The farmers came to New Delhi from the countryside. They saw lots of poor children on the streets. The farmers wanted to help the children. They decided to make a new school.
Many of the children are going to school for the first time. Now, there are over 60 children at the school. The children are between 3 and 13 years old.
The school opens at 11am. It closes at 2pm. The children learn reading, writing and other things. The children like learning English.
The farmers are unhappy. They don't like new government rules. In the past, farmers sold their food in government markets. Now, they have to sell in the free market. The farmers think this will be bad for them. They will make less money.
