Nazaré is a village in Portugal with huge waves.

People travel here to surf and come to watch. The waves are some of the highest that people have surfed.

Justine Dupont is a French surfer. She has spent four winters surfing the huge waves. One recent wave was her

highest ever.

The world record wave for a woman surfer is 68 feet. Brazilian Maya Gabeira holds the record.

The World Surf League checks new surfing records. They are deciding on Justine Dupont's wave. They will announce the results in May 2020 at the WSL Big Wave Awards.
