Young people in Cuba dance hip-hop.

Cuba has two famous dances. They are salsa and rumba. Before, people in Cuba did not know hip-hop. They did not have the internet. The internet came to Cuba in 2015. Now 4.2 million people in Cuba use the internet.

There is a dance group in Cuba. The name of the group is Datway. There are 16 dancers. They dance hip-hop. They make videos. They put the videos on Facebook and Instagram. They mix hip-hop and Cuban dance.

Liuven Dopico is a dancer in Datway. He says the dances are beautiful.

Liuven Dopico: "We mix hip-hop and street dance with Cuban music. It is very beautiful."

They dance a new kind of hip-hop. Now they are famous. People all over the world know them.

Datway won $10,000 in a dance competition. This money helps them a lot. In Cuba, most people get $87 in one month.

Ernesto Rodriguez is the boss of Datway. He bought a good camera for the group. Then he gave money to all the dancers. He gave money to the children in the video too.

Ernesto Rodriguez: "We bought a good camera for the group. I gave the other money to everybody. I gave money to all the dancers and all the children in the video."

The videos of Datway show real life in Cuba. They want more young people in the group.
