Violinist plays during brain surgery - 28th February 2020
A violinist has helped surgeons during her operation. She played her violin while they removed cancer from her brain.
Dagmar Turner is a musician in England. She was told that she had a brain tumour in 2013.
The brain tumour was in a special area. This area controls the fingers, which Turner uses to play the violin.
The doctor had the idea of waking Turner up during surgery. She played her violin to check her fingers.
The operation was successful. After three days, Turner was allowed to go home.
