Violinist plays during brain surgery - 28th February 2020

This woman is playing the violin. Her doctors are taking out a cancer. It is in her head. They don’t want to hurt her brain. She is helping the doctors.

Dagmar Turner is a musician. She lives in England.

She got cancer in 2013. It is in a special area of the brain. This area moves your fingers.

The doctor had an idea. They woke her up during the operation. Turner played her violin.

The operation was successful. After three days, Turner went home.
