First all-woman spacewalk - 23rd October 2019

Christina Koch and Jessica Meir are US astronauts. On Friday, they did something new. They did a spacewalk. It was the first all-women spacewalk.

First, they checked their space suits were safe. Then they went to change a battery.

They planned the all-women spacewalk for March. But the International Space Station didn't have two medium-sized suits.

The US first sent a woman into space in 1983. Now, it has lots of woman astronauts.
