Bolivian teacher cycles to students - 26th June 2020

Wilfredo Negrete cycles from town to town in the Bolivian countryside to teach his students.

During the pandemic, teaching children at home has been difficult for parents around the world. But when you have no access to technology and little education, the task becomes impossible.

So Negrete took his bike and rode to help his students three times a week.

A father of two himself, Negrete also offers lessons at home. He separates the tables and provides alcohol for people to clean their hands when they arrive.

The mothers are delighted with the classes and will walk several kilometres a day so their children can attend.
