She won the court case.

In 2008, Katie trademarked her name for her clothes.

The US popstar, Katy, tried to stop it.

But she gave up.

Then, in 2014, she had an Australian tour.

She sold t-shirts with her name.

After five years, the designer Katie sued the popstar.

The popstar broke the trademark rule.

She didn't know about the trademark.

Now, the popstar has to pay the designer.

She’s waiting to find out how much.

The Australian designer doesn’t care about the money.

She fought for small businesses.

This story is about two women, two dreams, and one name.
