Singapore's vaccine song - 12th May 2021
All around the world, governments are asking people to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Singapore's government is trying something unusual. It has shared a funny music video which gives information about the vaccine.

The star of the video is Phua Chu Kang. Phua is a character from a Singapore TV show. He raps the song in the language Singlish. Singlish is a mix of English and other languages.

Phua is played by the actor Gurmit Singh. In the video, Phua tells his worried wife to get the vaccine. He explains that the vaccine isn't dangerous.

The video is on the Singapore government website. Medical information about the vaccine is also on the website.
This is not the first time that Phua has made a funny song. He made another one at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. But this new video has become popular all over the world.

Singapore politician Tan Chuan-Jin wrote about Phua's song on Twitter. He said the government will keep playing the video until everyone gets the vaccine.
