Student nurses in France are learning in new ways. Experience playing video games is helping with their training.
Virtual reality - or VR - is now used at nursing colleges.
This college in Paris, France, uses VR. It helps nurses learn new skills more quickly. In a real hospital, this takes much longer. Wearing a headset, they feel as if they are in a real hospital. VR gives student nurses practice with "virtual" patients.
The student nurse sits at a computer screen. They walk around a hospital room and ask the patient questions. The experience is like real life. The nurses say it's very good. They feel alone with a patient, which helps students prepare for when they are qualified.
VR isn't just useful for learning. It also helps test the skills students are learning.
