Avatars are helping doctors. The technology in the film Avatar can help people with diseases.
In the Avatar films, they use motion sensors on the actors. Motion sensors study muscle movements. The computer watches the person move their body. It can see problems in the muscles. It can also tell future problems.
Some people have muscle and nerve diseases. These diseases stop your body moving. Experts tested the motion sensors on these patients.
The computer can see quick movements. Our eyes can't see these small movements. The computer can give the doctors lots of data. It can find the disease early. This is important. Early treatment can help patients.
This is a very good discovery. The doctors want to do more tests. But they need more money. It'll help patients with other serious diseases too, like Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s.
