Experts found important objects from Cambodia in Britain last year.

The objects belonged to a British man, Douglas Latchford.

Latchford loved old things.

He collected objects from Cambodia.

But did he steal them.

The objects surprised experts.

In one group of things, there were 77 pieces.

The gold and jewellery come from the 7th and 11th centuries, from Cambodian temples.

Latchford took them to Europe and America.

Latchford owned many objects himself.

He wrote a book about them in 2008.

The book was a way to find customers.

But experts saw something else important – some photographs were the same as missing objects.

The experts told the US government.

Latchford died in 2020.

Then his family decided to return the objects.

There'll be an exhibition soon in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Experts think there are many more pieces.

Some are in famous London museums.

This story isn't finished.
