People in Iran are angry with the government.

A 22 year old woman died.

Her name was Mahsa Amini.

The police took Amini away for wearing her headscarf the wrong way.

She died three days later.

Amini was in hospital for three days.

Her friends say Amini was hit on the head.

The police say they didn't hit her.

People went into the streets in the capital city, Tehran.

Now, people are in the streets in many cities.

Women are burning their headscarves.

Some are cutting off their hair.

Men are coming to the protests too.

They all disagree with the rules on women's clothes.

Similar actions are happening on social media, and in other countries too.

They want Iran to end these rules.

The government is fighting the protestors.

People can't use the internet.

They can't share pictures of the situation.

But one Grand Ayatollah wants the government to stop the fighting.

Amnesty International says over 100 people are now dead.

The police arrested hundreds of people.
