Then, she became a teacher.
She taught lots of different subjects.
In 1997, Murmu became a politician.
Murmu’s India’s second woman president.
Her community’s happy about Murmu’s new job.
India’s traditional communities hope things will change.
They want the government to listen to them more.
President Murmu wants to help the environment.
She says traditional communities can help.
They know how to live with nature.
