The Rugby World Cup - 7th October 2019

The Rugby World Cup is in Japan. People are visiting from around the world.

Fans can watch the games in Fanzones. The Fanzones are inside because Japan has typhoons at this time every year.

Lots of Japanese fans are at the Fanzones. Japan's team is playing very well.

In Tokyo the Fanzone has 3 levels. Fanzones have some rules. They help people enjoy the games.

There are signs outside where people wait to enter. And lots of signs inside. You can't smoke. On the first floor, you can drink alcohol. You can't drink alcohol on the second floor. This helps families and children enjoy the games.

Woman: "In Japan everyone's a lot more orderly. It's not so chaotic, like Melbourne."

Man: "Everyone's good sports here, in Australia, everyone would be standing up - jumping up and down the whole time. Here everyone's very polite, the Japanese people are still clapping for Ireland scores. They're very nice and respectful people, we're really enjoying ourselves. So, yeah."

Recycling is very important at Fanzones. Signs show people where to recycle. Lots of people help fans recycle too.
