Holes found near Stonehenge - 29th June 2020

Scientists are studying some special holes in the UK. The holes are very old.

4,500 years ago, people built circles with stone. The stone circles were important to these people.

You can visit a lot of these circles today. There are 1,000 stone circles in the UK. Stonehenge is a very famous stone circle.

The big holes are a new discovery. They are near Stonehenge. The holes are in a 2 kilometre circle. The same people made Stonehenge and the holes.

Scientists study Stonehenge a lot. But they only found the holes now. They are surprised.

First, they thought the holes were natural. Now, they know people made them.

Scientists will study the holes. They want to know the reason for the holes.
