These forests are in Cambodia.
They're near the Angkor Wat temple.
In the past, people killed animals here, like these gibbons.

A charity helped to bring the gibbons back.
Nick Marx works for Wildlife Alliance.

They're an endangered species.
People in Cambodia killed lots of forest animals.
Farming destroyed animals' homes too.
Many people were very poor.
They ate the animals for food.
Angkor
Wat temple's helping the animals.
It's an important place.
There are extra rules to look after the area.
These rules keep animals safe.
Wildlife Alliance brought 40 different animals back to the area.
It wants to teach tourists and citizens about the environment and the animals.
When these animals grow up, young generation can see them and know animals that live in Angkor include gibbons and others."
Marx is happy with the government.
Gibbons, beautiful charismatic species back into these wonderful temples in this wonderful forest, what more could you ask?"
