TikTok's a popular app.

It lets people share short videos.

Young people love it.

But for British students, it can sometimes be a problem.

TikTok can stop them studying.

22-year-old Eleanor Crabbe studies at Cardiff University.

Recently, she had to prepare for exams.

She said, 'I spend too much time on it.' So she took TikTok off her phone.

Another student, Ed Barnes, feels the same.

'Every video is so different, it's easy to keep watching.'

TikTok makes users feel good.

It's difficult to stop watching it.

You become 'addicted'.

So are you addicted to TikTok.

Or is it just a habit.

Ask yourself these questions.

Does TikTok stop you from seeing friends.

Do you forget your hobbies.

Without TikTok, do you feel worried.

Dr Nia Williams, from Bangor University, is an expert.

Her advice is to remove TikTok for a few days.

She says, 'Don't let your phone control you.'
