This is the American actor Tom Hanks. Or is it?
Tom Hanks saw himself in an advertisement. The advert was about dentists. Hanks was surprised. He didn't act in that advert. He didn't receive any money for it. It wasn't him! The company used artificial intelligence (AI) to make Hanks.
Now, lots of actors are unhappy about AI. Hanks is worried, but he uses technology too. In 2022, Hanks was in 'A Man Named Otto'. This film used AI to make Hanks look young. But that was different. Hanks knew about the film. The actor said it was OK.
This year, Hanks spoke in an interview. He talked about the problem. After he dies, he might be in more films. People won't know if he's real.
So, no – it isn't Tom Hanks in the advert! But the actor will use AI in his next film too. Hanks will look like a young man again.
