Plants have been covered in abundant blossom and gleeful beekeepers clad in protective suits have decanted record quantities of golden nectar.
However, while those in the north reap the fortunes of ideal weather, beekeepers in France's south are enduring a prolonged drought, with optimism replaced by a more tempered outlook.
Across the board, beekeepers face a further challenge as their means of selling produce are in doubt since the closure of almost all open air markets due to Covid-19.
Nevertheless, those in the north remain positive, having plentiful supplies for when lockdown is lifted.
