Yvon Chouinard was the owner of Patagonia, a clothes company.

They're clothes for outside hobbies, like climbing.

And it's a big company.

Now Chouinard doesn't own Patagonia any more.

He gave away his company a month ago.

So, who gets all Patagonia's money now.

The environment.

Chouinard, 83, and his family aren't interested in money.

He never wanted to be rich.

For years, Chouinard just loved climbing mountains.

He lived in a van.

But the company grew and grew.

Patagonia started 50 years ago.

Every year, the company helped the environment.

In 2011, Patagonia had a famous advertisement.

It said, "Don't buy this jacket".

The company wanted people to repair their old jackets.

Chouinard's new plan for Patagonia changes everything.

The money it makes now goes into a special organisation.

This organisation's different.

It doesn't make a few people rich.

It protects the world.

And who knows.

Perhaps other companies will do the same.
