The world says no to racism - 10th June 2020

Black Lives Matter wants to stop racism. People are in the streets all over the world. They want to help Black Lives Matter. This is because George Floyd died. He lived in Minneapolis, USA. The police stopped Floyd, then he died. People think a policeman killed him. The law will decide.

People in London went down on their knees. This is a way to remember Mr Floyd. It says his death, and racism, is wrong. People are in the streets all over the USA. Lots of people in Washington walked together. Then, they went on their knees. Many people came with their friends and family.

Cierra Owens: Because, one day, I will be having black little girls and black little boys as kids and I want them to come up in a world that doesn’t hate them. I want them to fight for other things and not just to be, have human rights. The, this is not something that’s just a race thing. This is a human rights thing. This is not something that we, we should still be doing in 2020.
